Music Video Critique

I feel like Lisa's project has a great idea to go to, but I feel that it can be executed better.  I like the Caribbean island theme, which goes well with the music video.  I think to make it stand out better, she should use more shape and motion tweens instead of "cut and paste" movements.  But again, I feel as though there is a lot of potential for this video.

Favorite Flash Website

http://www.matthiasdittrich.com/

I looked up 50 top gorgeous flash websites and this was the website that stood out to me.  It's well constructed and very interactive.  It starts off very minimal with just books lined up, but as you click on them, it zooms in and aligns beautifully.  This website is a great inspiration for me when I construct my website portfolio design.

Better than Free

This article was very interesting and gave me a better view about how sometimes it is best to pay for materials, even if a person knows some way to gain it for free.  An example that came to my mind while reading this article is how movies are being illegally distributed free through the internet, but watching it in front of your computer has a very dull experience compared to watching it in theaters with a bunch of friends.  I agree that although products may be copied, there are some things that can not be duplicated.

My Favorite Website

I spent five minutes looking for a cool website, randomly thought about this sports brand, and automatically fell in love with the web design.  This website is greatly interactive even without pushing a single button.  Hovering your mouse over any picture on the first website gives you brief information about whatever the picture portrays and links to different information that involves sports and Addidas brands.  The construction looks well-designed, fully interactive, and easy to gain as much information you can about Adiddas.

My Favorite Place to Travel

Traveling is one of the things I really love to do.  I love to explore new places and different cultures to get that feeling as if I stepped into a new world.  I haven't really traveled anywhere far, but I have visited and lived in different areas of America such as Florida, California, New York, Mexico, and Canada.  Places that hopefully I'll visit before I die would be Africa, Hawaii, Germany, and mostly Japan.  I want to visit great monuments and vast landscapes to gain an awing thrill and phenomenal memories.

1000 True Fans

I can live happily and easily manage 1000 fans.  I believe 1000 true fans is a perfect amount without being too overwhelmed to manage on your own.  Now that social network sites like Facebook and Twitter have been such a huge phenomenon in the way we communicate, it would be easy to keep in contact with all of your fans, providing updates on upcoming performances, exhibits, materials, or anything else you would like to promote.

Worth 1000 Entry

http://www.worth1000.com/entries/615526/just-one-more-cigarette

Out of many of the great designs in this website, this image is one of the few that interested me the most.  This is a creative concept that perceives aging and deterioration, taking a familiar face and manipulating it with photoshop to make the face appear dried up, damaged, and seemingly forgotten.  There are many images on this website that also have the same concept of cracking, peeling, and expiring.  In my opinion, the images seem as if they express a deterioration and breaking down of the old in order to reveal the new.
